Sewing Grace Ministry is a new service ministry of Magee First United Methodist Church. Our prayerful purpose is to provide a serviceable little dress that will become a prized possession for a grateful little girl in Honduras. Planting the idea that each little girl is worthy of special consideration begins with sewing a simple little dress to be distributed to children in the Honduras mission field. You can be a blessing to this ministry in several ways outlined below. Prayerfully consider your role in planting hope in the heart of a deserving child with Sewing Grace Ministry.

Make a Difference in These Ways:

1. Spread the word by enlisting others to sew and contribute.
2. Donate a few yards of cloth/fabric for those who volunteer to sew.

3. Donate a new or gently-used pillowcase to be sewn.

4. Volunteer to cut, iron, sew, size, and/or pack dresses.

5. Contribute a monetary gift for purchase of cloth, elastic, and thread.

Sizing and Fabric for Simple Dresses:

Measured from the shoulder to the hem. Fabric and pillowcases should be cotton or cotton/poly blends (cool and serviceable) in suitable lengths to sew dresses of these approximate lengths. All lengths are welcome and much needed.

                                                                                     Small = Size 2, 3, 4 (16" - 23" long)
                                                                                     Medium = Size 5, 6, 7 (24" - 29" long)
                                                                                     Large = Size 8, 9, 10 (30" - 34" long)
                                                                                     X-Large = Size 11, 12 (35" - 38" long)
